Ethical Sourcing
"Ethical" is a word that gets used loosely in this industry. Here is specifically what we can tell you about where our materials come from.
The stones
Our diamonds are lab-grown, which removes mining from the supply chain entirely — no pit, no tailings, no question about who dug it or under what conditions. They are grown by [[named growers / growers in India and the US]] using [[CVD / HPHT]] and graded by [[IGI]].
Our moissanite is also lab-created. It has never been mined anywhere.
Energy
Growing a diamond takes energy, and we would rather be straight about that than claim it takes none. [[State honestly what you know: the energy mix your growers use, and whether any of it is renewable. If you do not know yet, say "we are in the process of establishing this with our growers" — that is a better answer than a number you cannot support.]]
The metals
Our 925 sterling silver is [[recycled / sourced from ___]]. Our gold vermeil uses [[recycled gold / gold from ___]] over a sterling core.
The people who make it
Every piece is made by [[our own workshop / a workshop we have worked with since ___]] in [[city]]. [[Say what you know about working conditions and pay. Specific beats aspirational.]]
What we are still working on
[[This section is worth keeping. A brand that names what it has not solved yet is more believable than one that claims it has solved everything. Examples: packaging, carbon accounting, a take-back scheme.]]
